Protein* and Blood Sugar
What we’re going to cover today:
- How protein interacts with blood sugar
- Importance of shifting habits
- Sources of protein
* If you have kidney disease, you might need to limit the amount of protein you eat – ask your doctor to be sure about your specific needs
Action Steps:
- Make sure each meal contains some protein.
- Skip sauces, gravies and dressings when eating proteins. Too many hidden added sugars, starches that may negatively affect blood sugar levels.
